This page explanes how to convert MP3's to .WAV (CD Audio) files using Winamp and Sonique. Other players may also be able to do this so just look for the same features. A little note before starting: .WAV files are big (about 10MB per minute) so don't make too many at a time, and delete them when you are finished with them.

Winamp

Make up a playlist of the songs you want to convert. Open Winamp's main menu, move down to Options and select Preferences.

In the Preferences window under Plug-ins select Output. Write down which plug-in is currently selected because you will have to select it when you are done making your .WAV files so you can listen to music again. Now select the Disk Writer plug-in and click the Configure button at the bottom.

Select the directory where you wnat to save your .WAV files and click Ok. Now close the Preferences window.

Press Play and Winamp will start making your .WAV files. You will not here anything because it is sending the data to your hard disk instead of you speakers. When it is finished go back to the Preferences window and select the Output Plug-in that was selected before, which you should have wrote down like i told you.

Sonique

Make up a playlist of the songs you want to convert. At the main screen click on Setup Options. Click Audio in the menu on the right side. Under Select Output select .WAV Writer Plugin. Bellow that click on Configure.

Click in the box to select the directory to write the .WAV file to. Select the directory and click Ok.

Press Play and Sonique will start making your .WAV files. You will not hear anything because it is sending the data to your hard disk instead of you speakers. When it is finished go back to the Setup Options and select the Windows Audio Output which will allow you to listen music again.
